Most of the people I work with are struggling with emotional and relationship issues that are complex. These issues involve a variety of psychological symptoms and diagnostic categories; others may involve characteristic patterns of behavior at work and in close relationships that are problematic. Each person is unique in terms of their psychological makeup, their social and professional environment, and their biological endowment in terms of mood, anxiety level and personality style. Regardless of treatment modality, I am always considering the person as a whole, rather than thinking in terms of narrow diagnostic categories.
